Hi, I'm Jess!

I’m a passionate gardener and support worker with a deep love for kitchen gardens and sustainable, organic practices.

My goal is to help people, especially those who are neurodivergent, feel confident and connected in their own growing spaces.

My story...

I was diagnosed as neurodivergent as an adult, and I’m also a parent to a neurodivergent 8-year-old.

This lived experience gives me insight and empathy when supporting others on their own journeys.

I know firsthand how empowering it can be to grow your own food and medicine, and I love helping others do just that — whether it’s starting a veggie patch, building confidence in the garden, or visiting local gardens together.

Let’s grow something beautiful together!

Garden Therapy Activities with Jess in Brisbane

I provide services across metropolitan Brisbane and the surrounding areas in whatever space an individual may have — from a kitchen window to a backyard to a shared garden space. Transport can be provided to and from our planned activities.

These activities are designed to be inclusive and adaptable, fostering a connection with nature and community. Whether you're interested in hands-on gardening, peaceful walks, or creative floral arrangements, there's something to suit your preferences and needs. Feel free to reach out to discuss how these activities can be tailored to support your well-being journey.

Research has shown that gardening can help people through periods of difficulty in their lives; it has been shown to provide significant reductions in depression and anxiety, improved social functioning and resilience (Gardening: The Feel Good Factor, Thrive UK).

Funding is available for eligible participants through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Therapeutic horticulture services can be funded under the NDIS if they meet the reasonable and necessary criteria, supporting goals related to social and community participation, skill development, and overall well-being. Therapeutic horticulture is considered a support for NDIS participants who have included gardening or improved health and well-being among their goals.

Minimum booking time is 2 hours. Services are $70.23 per hour based on the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2025-26 (Item 04_104_0125_6_1 Access Community Social and Rec Activ - Standard - Weekday Daytime) plus travel expenses of $1 per kilometre.
